Seeing Yourself Through Other Eyes

One of the greatest gifts we can receive in this lifetime is the ability to truly see ourselves through the eyes of another.

We live in a world that often glorifies independence and self-sufficiency, yet so much of our growth happens in relationship — in the sacred mirrors of those who love us, challenge us, and hold us accountable to who we’re becoming.

We all have blind spots — patterns, beliefs, or ways of being that quietly shape how we move through life. They’re not “bad”; they’re simply unseen. And sometimes, it takes another person’s perspective to lovingly illuminate what we can’t yet see for ourselves.

This is the essence of integration.

Integration is the bridge between awareness and embodiment — it’s what happens when the insights we receive from ceremony, life lessons, or moments of awakening begin to take root in our daily lives. It’s when wisdom becomes lived experience.

But integration isn’t just a personal process. It’s relational. It thrives in community. It blossoms in safe spaces where we can be witnessed without judgment. When we gather in circles, share our stories, and reflect each other’s truths, transformation deepens.

That’s why integration is at the heart of everything I offer — from my retreats and ceremonies to Soul Medicine and 1:1 sessions. Because no matter how profound a spiritual experience might be, it’s the integration that allows it to truly change our lives.

Life itself is a ceremony.
Your relationships are the medicine.
Every conversation, every reflection, every moment of seeing and being seen — that’s where the real magic happens.

This portrait of me, drawn by my loving and supportive husband, is a perfect reflection of that truth. He has a way of helping me see myself when I forget. Our relationship continues to teach me that love, when rooted in reflection and honesty, becomes a mirror that brings us closer to our highest selves. Each day, life gets a little more beautiful because of our willingness to look inward — together.

If this resonates, I invite you to join me for our next Soul Medicine day retreat on November 1st at Valley Spirit Wellness in Beacon, NY.
It’s a sacred day to reconnect, recalibrate, and integrate all that life is teaching you — through community, ceremony, and deep self-care.

Only a few spots remain.
Your soul will thank you for saying yes.

With love,
Tasha Mae
